Piloting the LDT

LDT.  Three letters of an acronym that we pray will prove transformational in the lives of students.  This summer, we're running the first ever Leadership Development Track within FUI.  We're excited about our staff team this summer:  5 returning students, 2 InterVarsity staff members, 1 new InterVarsity intern and our own May Tag Yang from the FIFUL team.  These nine FUI staff will shepherd and lead our 27 interns through their summer experience.  To say that their roles are key would be an understatement!  

As these nine serve in these crucial roles, we'll be increasing our investment in them through the LDT.  Every Wednesday afternoon, these folk will gather here at our Leadership Training Center.  During those afternoons we'll go deep with some key topics:  discipleship amidst diversity (ethnic, gender, personality), engaging conflict, self-leadership and transition.  Additionally, we'll be interviewing and learning from some of the top leaders in our city and neighborhood.  As these young leaders rub shoulders with Fresno's "world changers" (to use our vision statement's language), we'll hope they'll be inspired, equipped and challenged.

This is the first time we've run something like this, and we're really excited.  Please be praying for the LDT - that God would use it to train and equip these leaders for awesome leadership this summer and beyond!
