Egg-celent Service

Written by a student intern: One thing I've learned in FUI is that interns everywhere do the same thing. I’ve been an intern in the normal business world and now an intern with Youth for Christ in Fresno and many of my tasks are similar, interns organize. My co-intern and I spend many of our mornings at YFC organizing closets before the neighborhood kids arrive to turn everything upside down. One morning we were organizing and doing inventory. After organizing, we were left with four brightly colored cartons of resurrection eggs (plastic Easter eggs filled with small items representing events in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ). They didn’t fit under any of the categories we’d taped to the cabinet doors, so we stashed them under “Games” since that day, I’ve had 3-4 children plop the cartons on the table and ask “How do we play this?” Each time, I get to share the story of how Jesus Christ loved the sinful people who killed him and then resurrected in 3 days to give them freedom from sin and death.

The misplaced egg cartons were such a confirmation from God that he was in our ministry to the kids.
